Idea 1: Students introduce themselves to the rest of the group, with their name and brief school context in plenary (as a whole group).

Idea 2: Students form a line in alphabetical order and say their names. Then, in pairs, students remember as many names as possible, and can check with other students when they can’t remember. For classes larger than 30, divide the class into two groups.

Idea 3: Students mingle and introduce themselves to one another with their name and information about where they teach.

Idea 4: Divide students into groups, tell them to find five things in common for everyone in their group, and ask them to share this in plenary.
