Frequently Asked Questions about my Tutoring Sessions
What are Exams Preparation sessions?
Exams Preparation Sessions focus on the skills and strategies needed to succeed in exams.
Sessions are focused on the four skills and grammar and vocabulary are mainly assigned as homework.
It depends on your level now, and the score that you aim to achieve. So, there is no fixed answer to that.
However, we can answer this question in terms of hours of guided learning.
First look at the table below.
So, if you are at B2 level and you want to reach 7.0 IELTS bandscore, C1, you need approximately 200 hours of guided instruction. So, if you study 2 hours a day, it takes 100 days, say 3.5 months. Every 10 hours of guided instruction, needs 1 hour of classroom instruction. So, here, you will need about 20 hours of tutoring in class.
Calculate how many hours it will take you to get from the level of English you have to the level of English you need. Here’s a little table for reference:
Level of English (CEFR) | Number of hours of instruction |
Zero to A1 | 70 hours |
A1 to A2 | 150 hours |
A2 to B1 | 300 hours |
B1 to B2 | 200 hours |
B2 to C1 | 200 hours |
C1 to C2 |
200 hours |
The books also depend on many factors and different students are given different books.
Since exam preparation clients come with different linguistic abilities and backgrounds, the books are decided upon after counselling session or sometimes at the end of the first session.
However, what we have in our arsenal are textbooks, supplementaries, and exclusive online courses.
Tutoring session fees vary over time. You will be given the fee at the time you contact us.
